In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Minot State University Beavers escaped with a 4-2 victory over M1 Non-ACHA Team.

M1 Minot State University gained the winning advantage on a goal by Derrick Brooks 6:57 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

Jeremy Johnson had two goals to lead the Beavers to victory. Johnson found the back of the net 17:51 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Minot State University and again while 19:06 into the third to make the score 4-2 M1 Minot State University.

M1 Minot State University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Beavers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.
