Consider performing some basic stretches before a game or practice to warm up your hamstrings, spine, hips, and shoulders.
Be Mindful of Injuries
If you have any pre-existing injuries or area’s that may be prone to pain, make sure your health and fitness routine aims at improving those areas instead of making them worse. Avoid activities or movements on the ice that may lead to long-term discomfort and pain. Talk to your coach or doctor about how to those injuries safe while on the ice.

To maintain great health – whether you’re young or old, it’s important to make sure that you’re getting enough sleep. Particularly after playing a strenuous game or training session. Getting enough sleep will allow your body to properly recuperate and bounce back after physical activity.
Get Some Cardio In
Cardio is an important part of any physical fitness routine. Running is a great way for hockey players to build up endurance in order to skate faster and outperform the opposing team.
