Cougars Take Two Convincing Wins Against Michigan Tech
GAME 1: SAULT COUGARS vs MICHIGAN TECH HUSKIES
HOUGHTON, MI – Men’s hockey was back in action against Michigan Tech this past weekend looking to add onto their ACHA Div. II leading record. The Cougars came out fast in the 1st period scoring three times before the ten-minute mark. Michigan Tech would fight back with two goals of their own before the Cougars added one more to leave the score 4-2 after the one period of play.
The Cougars never looked back after that as they scored four times in the 2nd and added another two in the third. Ryan Vendramin would lead the charge with six points (4G, 2A) and goalie Justin Richer would turn away all the remaining shots he faced after Michigan’s two goals in the first. The Cougars would skate away with a 10-2 win.

GAME 2: SAULT COUGARS vs MICHIGAN TECH HUSKIES
HOUGHTON, MI – The Cougars carried all the momentum in game two of the weekend series in Michigan Tech’s home rink. The Sault locked it down from the puck drop and scored seven unanswered goals before Michigan Tech struck curtesy of Kyle Callaway, who would also add their second goal as well. Ryan Vendramin and Kax Khull capped off terrific weekends on the stats sheet as Vendramin would add another four points (3G, 1A) and Khull scored four goals to power the Cougars to an 11-2 win over the Michigan Tech Huskies, starting off the second half of the season with two big wins.
