Jones helps the SBA Bones down the Piedmont Pride 8-6
Eric Jones went 3-3 at the plate, helping the SBA Bones (13-6) to an 8-6 victory over the Piedmont Pride (14-5) on Friday at Charlotte Christian.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.Erik Markwat put together a nice outing. Markwat held the Piedmont Pride hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.
Jonathan Embry went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Piedmont Pride. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Arien Seymour couldn't get it done on the hill for the Piedmont Pride, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
