Army took over the top spot in the standings after defeating Marist on Sunday by a score of 5-1. The game, however, was closer than the final score indicated. Tied 1-1 after 1, Army added a single tally in the second period and added three late goals to distance themselves from the Red Foxes. The Knights took over the top spot with a total of 8 points in the standings through 3 games played. With the 3-point per game system, Army has earned victories in regulation against Siena and Marist and needed overtime to secure the second win against Siena two weeks ago.

The Sacred Heart Pioneers earned their second league win to remain unbeaten in SECHL play as they downed CCSU 6-3 on Saturday evening. After falling behind early 1-0, the Pioneers regained the lead by a score of 2-1 after the opening period. The pioneers would add another goal in the middle period as CCSU tried to chip away by adding a power play goal of their own to keep the deficit at 1 goal. In the third Period, Sacred Heart would add three more goals to stave off the Blue Devil's hopes at a rally. The final score would be 6-3 in favor of the Pioneers.

In nonleague play, CCSU would fall to Bryant University in a high-scoring affair by a margin of 10-6. Clarkson would also fall to Norwich by a score of 2-0. Lastly, Montclair State netminder Ondrej Smalec continued his spectacular play in net as the Red Hawks shut out Eastern Connecticut State.
