Clarkson Slides into a 1st place tie after sweep of Siena
Clarkson was able to take two league games last weekend against Siena in a high scoring weekend for both teams. Clarkson would take game one of the two game homestand by a score of 7-6 after trailing the Saints 2-0 in the first period. The Golden Knights rallied to score three goals to take a 3-2 lead after 1 period of play. In the second period, Siena battled back with three goals from TJ Pierce, Nate Scarincio, and EJ Miller to take a 5-4 lead after 2 periods. The Knights would get three goals in the third period from John Westrick, Aidan Garcia, and Tanner Fearman to complete the comeback 7-6. It would take overtime to decide game 2 of the Clarkson home stand as both teams exchanged leads in an exciting game. Siena would rally with two goals in the third period from TJ Pierce and Mike Suozzi to force overtime. Clarkson would get a goal just 48 seconds into overtime from Aidan Garcia to take the game in overtime.
In other SECHL Action, Montclair State topped Marist 2-1, Army defeated Marist 5-3, and Sacred Heart took on Army and no score has been reported as of yet.
