UPenn clinches playoffs with 6-0 win over Seton Hall

February 1, 2026
12:00 PM EST

Final Score: UPenn 6 -- Seton Hall 0
Date: January 31, 2026
Location: Codey Arena, West Orange, NJ

Seton Hall was shut out 6–0 by UPenn, as the Quakers controlled the pace and dictated play throughout the night. Penn’s speed through the neutral zone and ability to sustain offensive pressure proved to be the difference, keeping the Pirates defending for extended stretches. Seton Hall struggled to establish rhythm offensively, finding it difficult to generate sustained zone time or high-quality scoring chances. Defensively, the Pirates worked to limit damage and battled through heavy pressure, but the volume of shots and extended shifts eventually took their toll. Joey Salvador, being honored on senior night, faced a challenging workload as Penn consistently attacked with numbers and traffic around the net. However, like he has for his entire career, Salvy stood tall in goal, making crucial first and second saves in desperation. Despite the result, Seton Hall continued to compete through all three periods. The Pirates will look to regroup quickly as they close out the season tonight against Scranton.
