Bears Bowl For Big Brothers / Big Sisters
Each year the Bears mark their calendars in anticipation of participating in the Big Brothers / Big Sisters Bowlathon.
Saturday the team was led by Mike Porubovic (Director of Community Relations) & Tommy Arnold (Equipment Manager & Bowling Legend) to Gratton Lanes to help out with a worthy cause.
The players raised $180.00 for Big Brothers / Big Sisters.
The Bears were divided into 6 teams to try their hand at 5 pin bowling. This year they added a little brother or little sister to the teams.
Little brother Aiden & little sisters Macy, Alyssa & Zoe had a great time bowling with their favourite players. A lot of Bears mentioned how good their little brother or sister was in bowling. All in all the kids had a great time. The players presented each little brother / little sister with a couple of tickets for upcoming Bears games as well as invited them to skate with the players during a future practice.
Also joining the Bears was super fan Robbie Hull. Robbie was invaluable to his team as some of our players struggled at times to knock the pins down.
The Bears would like to thank the Big Brothers / Big Sisters for inviting them again this year to this great event. We hope to see everyone back at Gratton Lanes again next year.
