The Smiths Falls Jr. A Bears were defeated by the Cornwall Colts in CCHL league play, 4-1, in front of just 320 fans on a snowy Friday night.

The Colts let loose with the offensive punch of Nick Lalonde who scored all four goals as the visitors led 1-0 and 2-1 at the period breaks.

Lalonde opened up with the Colts first goal at 15:42 of the first, assisted by Alexander Monteleone and Brennan Markell.

In the second, Markell assisted on Lalonde’s second of the night.

Smiths Falls shot back with their only marker of the game as Hunter Garlasco scored from Kyle Dowdall and Brett Garvey at the 11:09 mark.

In the third Lalonde put one past a sprawling Bradley Dobson as the Colts turned it up to 3-1 on the score sheet.

A power play marker with 16:41 left in the game gave Lalonde his fourth and final goal of the night, assisted once again by Markell, and Tanner Spink.

The Colts outshot the Bears 39-34 as Liam Lascelle was the winning netminder.

The Bears had eight minor penalties in the game, while Cornwall had six.
