ETOBICOKE wins tough contest against SOUTHWEST, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, ETOBICOKE escaped with a 3-2 victory over SOUTHWEST.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Sam Fariello at 7:28 of the third period.

ETOBICOKE was sparked by Fariello, who racked up one goal.

ETOBICOKE stifled SOUTHWEST's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Others who scored for ETOBICOKE included Melissa Misztal and Riley Smith, who each put in one. In addition, ETOBICOKE received assists from Christina Chin, who had two and Willow Corson (A), who had three.

SOUTHWEST forced ETOBICOKE goalie Fabiana Petricca to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

SOUTHWEST was helped by Savannah Bouzide (A), who registered one goal. Bouzide (A) scored 11:22 into the second period to make the score 2-1 ETOBICOKE. Sofia Smithson provided the assist. SOUTHWEST also got a goal from Taylor Lockwood as well. More assists for SOUTHWEST came via Ellen Donaldson and Jenna Henry (A), who each chipped in one.

Fabiana Petricca made 30 saves for ETOBICOKE on 32 shots. ETOBICOKE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. SOUTHWEST's Emily OBright stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that she faced. SOUTHWEST incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
