Ringette Day in Springfield! 10 Years of ringette for SRA
It was a busy day as the Springfield Ringette association celebrated 10 years of ringette at the ONE Insurance Arena, Oakbank, Saturday, November 5th.
There was fast paced ringette games, food, and vendors. It was fun for the whole family!
The day started with the U10 team's game followed by the Eastman U14. Then a number of R4U teams and players worked with the Eastman U14 players at on ice stations. It was an excellent collaboration where all the planning paid off! "Roxy the ringette ring" welcomed the children, hot dogs were sold, and the rink was packed!
The R4U players high fived the Eastman U16 team as they went on the ice for their Breast Cancer Awareness game. This fast paced game was great for the younger players to see.
As the Craft sale was winding down, Birthday cake was served. The U12 Springfield Ice played thier game, and the day ended with the Eastman U19 game.
Many thanks to Cathy for organizing the event! It was a huge success for ringette in Springfield!
