Springfield Ringette Teams have a Gold Medal Sweep in the 2016-17 Eastman Playoffs!
The Springfield Ringette Association is proud of their teams in this Tenth Anniversary Season. This weekend at the Eastman Ringette League Playoffs, the U10, U12A, and B Teams all won Gold Medals at The Sungro Centre in Beausejour. Although the R4U team doesn't participate in playoffs, they too are exhibiting their talent in their games over the weekend.
The Springfield U10 team managed to win against Red River Rage twice to bring home their gold medal. The U12 A team defeated Steinbach twice to earn the rights to thier gold medal. The U12 B team had to earn thier gold medal the hard way, defeating Lorette twice, but losing to Red River Rage. They met Red River Rage in the final for a close game which resulted in the Springfield team out scoring 3-1.
In addition to the U10 and U12 teams the Springfield Ringette Association supports an excellent program for beginner ringette players called R4U. We are proud of the R4U team for thier accomplishments so far the ringette season!
Good Luck to our U16B team who are just gearing up for a great playoff season! The SRA also co-hosts a U16A team called Eastman Heat. This team is currently competing in provincials at the MTS Iceplex and vying for a spot in the upcoming Western Canadian Ringette Championships in March. Go Springfield!
