2 New Assistant Coaches in Place
As mentioned on Lincolns social media this week the Lincolns have announced 2 new assistant coaches for the upcoming season.
One being former NHL player Mark Bell. The St. Pauls native played 7 seasons in the NHL. Playing for Chicago, San Jose, Toronto and Anaheim. His best season was the 05-06 season where he scored 25 goals for the Blackhawks. He was a 1st round pick of the Blackhawks in the 1998 NHL entry draft being picked 8th overall. He spent his junior career playing for the Ottawa 67's playing under Brian Kilrea. The last 5 years of his pro hockey career was spent playing overseas. He played 450 NHL regular season games.
Another addition to the Lincolns coaching staff is Doug Groenestege who will be the goalie coach and a assistant coach. The Stratford native played one season in the OHL for Mississauga. He played 5 seasons in the CHL playing for Austin, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arizona.
They join Rick O'Donnell on the Lincolns staff. Lincolns will soon be announcing their Head Coach for the coming season.
