The Stoney Creek Tigers’ impressive season came to an end in dramatic fashion, falling 4-3 to the St. John’s Rooftech Capitals in the Allan Cup Challenge quarter-finals. The Tigers battled hard, opening the scoring early and holding a 2-1 lead after the first period. St. John’s responded in the second, edging ahead before Stoney Creek tied the game early in the third. The Capitals regained the lead midway through the final frame, and despite a determined late push from the Tigers, the equalizer never came.

Stoney Creek advanced to the quarter-finals after a competitive round robin, finishing with a 1-1 record. The Tigers notched a 3-2 win over the Dundas Real McCoys and dropped a 5-0 decision to the Clarenville Caribous, showing grit and resilience throughout the tournament.

While the season ends just short of the Allan Cup final, the Tigers can be proud of a strong playoff run and a memorable year, cementing their place as serious contenders on the national stage.
