Brock Ouellet was an Ontario Hockey League draft pick who could score goals when he played for the Stouffville Spirit.

Now, he’s helping a new crop of young players while working for one of the legends of the game.

Ouellet, 29, works for the Orr Hockey Group, a hockey agency founded by Bobby Orr in 2002. Their roster of players includes Connor McDavid, the Staal brothers of Thunder Bay and Toronto Maple Leaf Connor Brown.

A Lindsay native, Ouellet played in Stouffville from 2004-06.

He was back in the Stouffville Arena this season, checking in on a client who was playing against the Spirit.

Here’s his bio from the Orr group’s website:

“Brock Ouellet joined the Orr Hockey Group in April, 2014. Brock is responsible for NHL draft preparation and logistics, compiling daily statistical and media information for all OHG clients, player research used in contractual negotiations and analyzing league-wide trends, organizational depth, and salary cap details at the NHL level.

Working closely with Jeff Jackson, Dave Gagner and Alex Eaton, Brock’s other responsibilities include player recruitment, development and service in Ontario.

Brock was a draft pick of the Owen Sound Attack and played five years of junior hockey in the OJHL and CCHL. Following his junior hockey career, he attended Queen’s University where he played five years of CIS hockey while earning an honours degree in History.

Brock is currently a student at the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law, and will obtain his law degree in 2017.

Brock presently splits his time between Toronto, Ontario and Fredericton, New Brunswick.”
