The San Diego-area resident joined the Spirit midway through the 2021-22 OJHL season from the Haliburton County Huskies.
The 20-year-old forward had 12 points (7G/5A) in 42 games in Stouffville.
“We’re excited to see Davis continue to play at the next level,” said Spirit Head Coach Scott Donato. “After picking up Davis after last year’s college showcase, our coaching staff felt he was a big part of why our team turned around in the second half of the season.”
“His leadership on and off the ice and his work ethic were exemplified on a nightly basis. Excited to see what he does with the next four years playing college hockey.”
Before the OJHL, Bone played in the San Diego Jr. Gulls program, spent two years at the New Hampton School in New Hampshire and one year with the Vermont Lumberjacks junior team.
Congratulations to Davis and best of luck in the NCAA!
The OJHL, the largest Jr. A hockey league in Canada, has had more than 90 NCAA, U SPORTS, CHL and professional commitments in 2021-22 – including more than 25 NCAA Division I scholarships.
