June 4th was Opening Night for the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.   The Albany Dutchmen benefited from a few key hits and downed the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs 7-3. The Newark Pilots pitchers really stymied the Glens Falls Golden Eagles hitters in the Pilots 4-1 win. Lastly, in a back and forth game, the Adirondack Trail Blazers squeaked by the Watertown Rams 6-5. You can read the full game recaps by the PGCBL here.

The SBI Pitcher of the Night from June 4th is Robert Robbins of the Newark Pilots. Robert is a 6’4” right-hander from Stevens Institute of Technology.  He picked up the win by allowing just one run in seven solid innings of work. He scattered three hits, walked one and struck out five last night.
