Miles Picks Up Nightly Award
The Hitter of the Night in the Prospect League is Dominic Miles of the Quincy Gems by way of Quincy University. A 6 foot 2 inch outfielder, Dominc hit a double and three singles in the win for the Gems. He also scored two runs and knocked in three last night. Miles is now hitting .268 in 123 at-bats this summer.
Cassidy Brown (Quincy—Loyola Marymount) went 2 for 5, with a home run and three rbi’s in the win. He also scored a pair of runs last night. Kyle Cedotal (Quincy—Southeastern Louisiana) hit a double and two singles for the Gems.
Zach Schira (Springfield—Dayton) went 4 for 5 in the win. He hit his 8th double of the summer and he scored three runs for the Sliders.
Paul Trenhaile (West Virginia—Truman State) went a perfect 3 for 3 in the Miners win. He also scored a run, knocked in one and walked twice last night. Westyn Baylor (West Virginia—Mansfield) hit his second home run of the summer yesterday.
