UMass senior Conor LeBlanc pitched a heck of a game this past Friday, and helped his team sweep A-10 rival Dayton. For his great outing, the Atlantic-10 Conference named Conor the Pitcher of the Week. He also was recently named the Co-UMass Athlete of the Week.

A 6-foot-4 inch Glastonbury, CT native, Conor pitched 8 shutout innings on Friday against Dayton. He allowed just a pair of hits and he struck out 7 batters in his start.  He mixed his pitches well in the start and really baffled the opposing hitters. He now has a 1-1 record and is sporting a 2.77 ERA in 13 innings pitched.

Conor spent the summer of 2012 with the Mystic Schooners of the NECBL. He spent the summer of 2013 with the Youses Orioles in the Cal Ripken League and last summer he pitched for the Ocean State Waves.
