Stewart Nelson Named Hitter of the Night in the MINK League
The Sedalia Bombers pounded out 18 runs on 20 hits in their victory over the Ozark Generals yesterday. Every starter for the Bombers had at least one hit last night, but the star of the game was third baseman Stewart Nelson. A 5-foot-9 inch infielder from the University of Evansville, Nelson went 5 for 6 in yesterday’s game. He hit a pair of doubles, scored two runs and drove in two for the Bombers. Stewart is now hitting .462 (6/13) this season.
