Futures Collegiate Baseball League June 18th Recap
Three Brockton Rox pitchers shutout the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs last night and the final score was 5-0. UConn’s CJ Dandeneau was the winning pitcher last night after pitching five shutout innings. Tommy Stoffel (Virginia Tech) had three hits for the Rox. Chris Chiaradio (Wachusett—Seton Hall) went 3-for-4 in the loss.
The Martha’s Vineyard Sharks ran their record to 9-3 this season after downing the Seacoast Mavericks last night. Brian Campbell (Stonehill) hit his first homer of the season for the Sharks yesterday. Ryan Gendron (Seacoast—S. New Hampshire) went 2-for-3 and hit his fourth homer of the season last night. He also hit a double and walked once in the loss. Soren Hanson (Colby College) earned the win for the Sharks.
The North Shore Navigators defeated the Torrington Titans 11-2 yesterday. Giovanni Dingcong (St. Thomas Aquinas) hit his first home run in the win yesterday. Tanner Bush (UNC-Asheville) hit a pair of doubles and scored twice for North Shore. Thomas Lane (Boston College) earned the save after pitching four scoreless innings last night.
In the final FCBL game, the Worcester Bravehearts blanked the Bristol Blues 4-0. The winning pitcher last night was Dylan Collett from St. Leo University. He threw seven-shutout innings and fanned 8 batters in the win.
