Cowlitz Black Bears (1) at Victoria HarbourCats (6)

The HarbourCats are now 6-9 this season after their win last night.

Cowlitz Black Bears

  • Loren Archibald (Lower Columbia College) picked up two more hits last night and is now batting .306 this season.

Victoria HarbourCats

  • Dominic Topoozian (Fresno State) now has a 2-1 record this season after picking up the win yesterday. He allowed one run in 7.1 innings of work. He scattered six hits and fanned five as well.
  • Kevin Collard (San Diego) went 2-for-2 and scored a runs for Victoria.

 

 

Wenatchee AppleSox (5) at Bellingham Bells (1)

Despite the loss last night, the Bellingham Bells still lead the West Division of the WCL.

  • Keston Hiura (UC Irvine) hit a double and home run last night.  He also scored three runs, drove in one and stole his third base of the season.
  • Gonzaga’s Hunter Wells threw five solid innings yesterday and earned his second win of the summer.
  • Colton Loomis (Northwest Nazarene) pitched three scoreless innings in relief.

Bellingham Bells

  • Jesse Kuet (Stanford) picked up two hits for the Bells yesterday.

 

 

Bend Elks (12) at Corvallis Knights (9) in 11 innings

The Elks scored four runs in the top of the 11th inning and downed the Corvallis Knights.

  • Seattle’s Dalton Hurd hit a three-run homer in the top of the 11th last night to help the Elks down the Knights.
  • Christian Cavaness (Lindenwood-Bellville) went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. He also scored three times in the win.
  • Patrick Flynn (Utah) hit his first home run of this summer yesterday.
  • Caydn Grenier (Oregon State) went 3-for-4 and scored twice last night.

Corvallis Knights

  • Designated Hitter Christian Donahue (Oregon State) had three hits and drove in one last night.

 

 

Klamath Falls Gems (2) at Walla Walla Sweets (3)

The Sweets pitchers really stepped up last night in their win.

Walla Walla Sweets

  • Max Gamboa (Pepperdine) pitched 1.2 shutout innings and earned his first save of the season.

 

 

Kelowna Falcons (5) at Yakima Valley Pippins (0)

The battle of East Division teams went the way of the Falcons last night.

  • Brady Miller (Western Oregon) pitched six shutout innings and won his first game of the summer.
  • Cal Poly Pomona’s Michael Koval threw the final three-innings yesterday and saved his first game of the year.
