Pitching Stat Lines from June 29th

Here are a few really nice pitching “stat lines” from games played yesterday, the 29th of June.

Luke Humphreys of the Florence RedWolves by way of Morehead State pitched a heck of game last night. He threw seven no-hit innings against the Gastonia Grizzlies. In his outing yesterday, Luke walked three batters, fanned nine and picked up a no-decision in what turned out to be a 1-0 win for the Grizzlies. Humphreys is now sporting a 1.61 ERA in 22.1 innings pitched and he has only allowed seven hits this season.

Elmira Pioneer starting pitcher Tristian Widra (Samford) mad this third start of the summer last night and he picked up his second win. He allowed one run in six innings of work.

Michael Scimanico of the Woodstock River Bandits by way of Shenandoah University threw six shutout innings last night in the River Bandits win. In his outing last night, Michael scattered four hits, walked three and fanned on batter. He now has a 1.80 ERA in 20 innings of work.

Northeastern University right-hander Aaron Civale threw four shutout innings in relief yesterday for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.  In earning his first win this summer, Aaron gave up just one hit and he fanned five batters.  He now is sporting an ERA of 0.67 in 13.1 innings pitched.

Bruce Zimmerman (Towson) of the Forest City Owls threw seven shutout innings yesterday and he picked up his second win of the summer. He scattered five hits, walked one and fanned six batters last night. Zimmerman now leads the Coastal Plain League with 30 innings pitched this season.
