Offensive Stat Lines from June 30th

The Bend Elks of the West Coast League picked up a big 13-3 win over Klamath Falls last night and West Tunnell (Baylor) picked up five hits for the now 18-4 Elks.  His five-hit outburst last night included him hitting his 7th double and smacking a grand slam in the 7th inning.  He also scored three runs and drove in four yesterday. He is now hitting .353 in 85 at-bats this summer.

C.J. Price of the Kokomo Jackrabbits went 3-for-4 in a big win over the Quincy Gems last night. The Washington University in St. Louis catcher also scored two runs and drove in two yesterday.

The Madisonville Miners (Ohio Valley League) downed the Fulton Railroaders last night and Nolan Ramsey (Alabama A&M) picked up three big hits for the Miners.  He also drove in two runs and now is hitting .379 in 87 at-bats.

A pair of Indiana State Sycamores helped the first place Hamilton Joes in their win over the Xenia Scouts yesterday.  Hunter Owen went 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in last night.  Andy Young also had two hits in last night’s win.  Young is now sixth in the league with a .400 batting average this summer.

Matt Diorio of the Mat-Su Miners by way of Central Florida hit a double in the top of the 9th inning to help seal the win last night. He wound up going 3-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in yesterday.

Victoria Generals outfielder Jacob Spring (Southwestern Oklahoma State) had a key three-run double in the Generals win last night.
