South Bay Slides Past Riptide
A six-run fifth inning helped the South Bay Sliders (2-3) defeat the OC Riptide 8-6 on Wednesday night at El Camino College.
The Sliders jumped out to an early 2-1 lead in the first inning before following behind 4-2 in the top of the fifth.
South Bay responded with an epic six-run frame and proved to be too much the rest of the way.
Jake Sahagian led the way going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored.
Reese Alexiades, Jonathan Pasillas and Mason Landis each contributed one RBI.
The Sliders now look to build upon this momentum as they travel north to Humboldt to take on the Crabs for a three-game series.
