New Operations Manager
Keene Swamp Bats announce new Operation’s Manager
There will be a familiar face helping direct the day to day tasks of the Keene Swamp Bats in 2015. Shannon Daley has been named the Operation’s Manager for the organization. Shannon was a lead Intern for the Swamp Bats in 2013, one of the most successful seasons in Swamp Bats history. In 2014, Shannon was a valuable volunteer at many Swamp Bat events, including Opening Night, Independence Eve, Playoff Home Games and the Pumpkin Fest.
Shannon hails from Weare, NH where she graduated from John Stark High School. She is a graduating Senior at Keene State College, majoring in Mathematics and a minor in Statistics and Communications. Shannon had been a very visible student in her four years at KSC. She was part of the Lamda Pi Etta Public Speaking Competition, a member of the Math Club for four years, the Senior Class Gift Officer and a presenter at the Academic Excellence conference. In addition, Shannon has worked at the Alumni Office where she is active in soliciting donations from Alumni, building relationships with KSC alumni and updating demographic statistic relevant to “giving”.
As Operations Manager, Shannon will guide the Swamp Bats in several critical areas:
- Working with business and community leaders supporting their sponsorship role of the Swamp Bats.
- Oversee 45 Game schedule, sponsoring events, and involve herself in the priorities of the city of Keene.
- Supervision of all Interns.
- Working with up to 20 local elementary schools in the implementation of the Reading With Ribby reading program.
When asked why her interest in the Swamp Bats, Shannon responded, “I could not pass up the opportunity to work full time with one of the most impactful organizations in the Monadnock Region. The Swamp Bats are truly special. I know this first hand.” The Swamp Bats share that feeling reciprocally, proud and confident in handing these reigns to Shannon Daley.
