Pickering Commits to University of Nebraska
KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Outlaws are proud to announce the commitment of Grandon Pickering to the University of Nebraska ACHA Division III. Pickering appeared in 29 games for the Outlaws and recorded 2 assists while defending the blue line this past season. Pickering had one year left of junior eligibility but knew he was ready for the college ranks after this past season.
"Grandon was a great addition to our team when he came in November and was a great kid to have here in our community. He improved each and every time he was on the ice and we look forward to seeing all that improvement put to use in Nebraska. He will also be getting to use the brand new facility that they are building there so it will be great for him in his first season," stated General Manager Jordan Owen.
To follow Grandon and his Cornhusker team you can go to ACHA's website (http://achahockey.org) or follow them on Facebook at UNL Husker Hockey-Official. Thanks to Grandon for his hard work this past season and we wish him well on his college career.
