The Team Ontario 17U jump on the Ontario Nationals 17U early and coast to 14-1 win
The Team Ontario 17U (4-10) jumped out to an early lead on the Ontario Nationals 17U (0-2) and captured a 14-1 victory on Saturday at Milliken Mills.
Eleven runs in the first three innings allowed the Team Ontario 17U to put the game away early.
An RBI single by Ryley Davenport and a two-run single by Michael Murphy during the first inning and a groundout by Alex Cleveland-Iliffe, an error, an error, an RBI double by Nickolon Dundhnath, a double by Dundhnath, a double by Ryan Bothwell, and a sacrifice fly by Joey Moher in the second inning fueled the Team Ontario 17U's offense early.
Dundhnath racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Team Ontario 17U.
Ryan Faubert picked up the win for the Team Ontario 17U. Faubert allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.
