On May 5, 2019, three Team Ontario Astros coaches and seven players put on a house league coaching clinic and information session for coaches of the Aurora-King Baseball Association (AKBA) at the Aurora Sportsdome.
According to AKBA President Shaun McGuire, the knowledge shared and demonstrations shown were very much appreciated by the coaches in attendance.
14U and 15U players Carson, Ryan, Joseph, Justin, David, Giancarlo, and Sam did a fine job demonstrating for the Clinic coaches the finer art of dynamic warmups, throwing and catching a baseball, hitting, and pitching. All six of these players demonstrated class and courtesy on the turf on Sunday afternoon and represented our organization in a terrific manner.
The successful event, run by 15U coach Jim Stewart and 16U coaches Daryl Ringwald and Shaun McGuire, was one enjoyable way for the Team Ontario Astros organization to contribute to the Aurora and King communities, which host our home fields.
As the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) 2019 season begins, the Team Ontario Astros are appreciative of the fine facilities our players and their competition are able to enjoy when playing close to home!
