Vermont escapes late Danbury comeback, wins fifth straight game 8-5
DANBURY, Conn. - The Vermont Mountaineers outlasted the Danbury Westerners 8-5 at Rogers Field in NECBL action.

- Vermont struck first in the top of the opening frame after Sam Angelo doubled and DM Jefferson singled him home to make it 1-0.
- The Mountaineers would extend it to a 3-0 lead in the third off of an RBI double from Max Jensen and an RBI single from Nathan Waugh.
- The lead would extend to 6-0 after two runs in the sixth and another RBI from Max Jensen in the eighth.
