DeMarinis added to Coaching Staff
The Toronto Jr. A Canadiens are proud to announce the addition of David DeMarinis at the teams new Assistant Coach. Joining Vince Bellissimo’s staff for the 21-22 season, DeMarinis was the perfect addition that will fit in seamlessly with the rest of the Hockey Operations Staff.
With Zach Bell shifting down to the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Midget Program as an Assistant Coach, an opening presented itself for DeMarinis to join the Jr. A Canadiens bench. After 20+ applicants, General Manager Blake Ricci and Head Coach Vince Bellissimo worked towards building a short list for the interview process and at that point, DeMarinis separated himself from the rest of the pack. DeMarinis has served at the Head Coach and General Manager with both the Cobourg Cougars and Pickering Panthers over the last 4 seasons we well as spending 2 seasons as an Assistant Coach with the Stouffville Spirit.
“I am very excited to joining a great organization with a first class staff and a history of moving players onto the next level. I look forward to working alongside a great coach in Vince Bellissimo which I hope to play a small part in a successful season with the Toronto Jr. A Canadiens” said Coach DeMarinis.
“After dealing with David over the years while he was working with his former clubs, it became very apparent that his coaching philosophy would mesh will with the culture that Vince Bellissimo and staff instill in our day-to-day. His focus on structure and preparation will reinforce the message our staff sends everyday which will lead to a seamless transition” said JRC General Manager Blake Ricci.
The Toronto Jr. A Canadiens will progress into our Development Camp on August 16-18, Main Camp, Exhibition Schedule beginning September 10th, and Regular Season puck drop on October 1st. Needless to say, it will be a very busy couple of months but the Jr. A Canadiens will be ready to go!
