Canadiens take down Patriots Tuesday at Scotiabank Pond

The Toronto Jr A Canadiens jumped back into the win column on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Pond, beating crosstown rivals the Toronto Patriots 6-3.
Matthew Wilde opened the scoring for the Canadiens 10:54 into the first period when a loose puck sitting in the crease came onto his tape and was poked home to tie the game at one. Wilde would go onto add markers at 11:10 of the First period and 19:36 of the Third period to complete the Hat-Trick.
Eric Vitale would then score less than two minutes later to extend JRC's lead to 3-1 on a beautiful toe drag goal setup by Christian Catalano and Tyler Fukakusa.
In the second period, Kyan Haldenby would pickup his first career Ontario Junior Hockey League goal which extended the Canadiens lead to 4-2 which was held heading into the final frame.
The Patriots would get to within one goal midway through the final frame but with just under two minutes to go, Jordan Karafile striped a Patriots defender of the puck at the blue line and skated into the offensive zone and fired the puck into the empty net for his second goal of the season.
Moments later, Matthew Wilde completed the Hat-Trick as he found the empty net on a setup from Simon Singher to make it 6-3, The goal was Wilde's fourth point of the night.
​Selby Warren would turn away 25 of 28 shots he faced in the game to earn his second victory of the season.
