"I'm feeling pretty happy about that win, They got the best of us last time and today we showed our true colours with a comeback in the third period" Goaltender Selby Warren commented following the game.
" I just go out there every night and try and give my team a chance to win and I know every guy does the same thing. So the fact I was able to do that today made me very happy with my game" Warren added.
Game Summary
The Canadiens were looking to return from the holiday break on a winning note as they faced off with the Haliburton County Huskies on Sunday afternoon.
Neither team gave an inch in the first period as the Canadiens netminder, Selby Warren, and Huskies netminder, Christian Linton, had a great goaltending duel in the opening frame. There were several chances by both teams late in the period, but the score remained 0 - 0
The Huskies would draw first in the contest when a pass was picked off by Oliver Tarr in the offensive zone and his shot beat Selby Warren on the glove side midway through period number two.
Both teams would continue to chip away at each other and ultimately the score would stay 1-0 heading into the final frame.
The Canadiens would finally solve Linton as Matthew Wilde wired a shot into the top corner of the net on the power play, tying the game 1-1 midway through the final frame, Tyler Fukakusa and Christian Catalano received the assists.
Following the Wilde goal, the Huskies cranked up the pressure in their attacking zone, but Warren's excellent goaltending kept the Huskies from retaking the lead.
With just under ten minutes to go in the game, the Canadiens would break into the offensive zone and Matthew Wilde made no mistake as he found Christian Catalano for the tap-in on the doorstep which would turn out to be the final dagger for the Huskies.
"I saw Matty Wilde coming down with the puck, I noticed the defender attack him so I just drove the net and he put it right on my tape," said Christian Catalano on his game-winning goal in the third period. "There's no better feeling than scoring the game-winning goal for your team" the forward added.

Following the game, we caught up with Forward Tyler Fukakusa and Head Coach Vince Bellissimo for their thoughts on the game.
#9 Tyler Fukakusa
" It helps that my line was playing well today and creating good scoring chances. We can capitalize on a couple of them"
" We can play with a lot more confidence knowing that we have goalies in net giving us a chance to win every night. Selby gave us that tonight and helped us get the win"
HC Vince Bellissimo
"Anytime you go on the road and beat a good team, it's an important two points, and they're always tough to get. So we're happy to get those two points. I think the key tonight was sticking with it for the full 60 minutes. We didn't necessarily find our game until the midway point of the game. Selby certainly did a good job holding the fort, keeping us in. And eventually, we found our game, we were able to capitalize in creating some offense, and it was a big two points."
