Pats cruise to 2-0 series lead vs. Orangeville
Lee Lapid led the way with two goals and an assist as the Toronto Patriots cruised to a 2-0 series lead with a 6-0 win over the Orangeville Flyers Saturday in Orangeville.
Veteran defender Graeme MacLean added a goal and two assists for his first career three-point playoff game, while Tyler Fassl made 35 stops for his first post-season shutout.
Fassl has now allowed one goal on 66 shots over the two games.
Evan Benwell, Jackson Alexeev, and Anthony Carraretto also added goals, as eight different Pats have already scored, and 16 Torontonians have at least one point through the first two contests of Round 1.
Eric Doner picked up the loss for the Flyers, allowing two goals on eight shots before being pulled for Brendon Landry 8:41 into the game.
The Pats will look to go 3-0 up Tuesday night back at home at Westwood Arena, puck drop at 7:30 PM.
