March 8, 2018, Mississauga, ON – Andrew Petrucci is the 2017-18 scoring king of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL).

The Toronto Patriots forward led the 22-team OJHL with 100 points – including a league-leading 52 goals.

The Patriots captain scored two goals in a 3-2 win over Buffalo on Feb. 24, the final night of the OJHL regular season. That gave him the 100 points on the season – one more than Aurora Tigers captain Jake Bricknell, who had a goal and an assist in an overtime loss to Lindsay the same night.

Petrucci, who will play for NCAA Division 1 RIT next season, finished with 52 goals, 17 more than Bricknell, who was also runner-up in goal scoring.

Petrucci’s Patriots lead the Orangeville Flyers 3-0 in their opening-round playoff series.

Petrucci and other OJHL trophy winners will be honoured at a ceremony during the OJHL championship series in April.
