The Toronto Patriots are into the second round.

A four-game sweep of the Orangeville Flyers was completed Friday night when a two-goal performance by assistant captain Colton Kalezic paced the No. 1 seeded Pats to a 4-0 win in Orangeville.

Kyler Matthews and Max Routledge also had goals, as the former’s one-time finish from in tight at 7:38 of the second period on a feed from Evan Benwell held up as the game winner.

Tyler Fassl made 30 stops for his third shutout of the post-season.

Lee Lapid’s three goals and eight points paced the club over a four-game set in which Toronto outscored the No. 8 Flyers 25-1.

Despite the big-time offensive production, Fassl was brilliant in net, allowing a single goal on 124 shots, a bevy of which were of the Grade A variety.

No less than 12 different Toronto skaters scored at least a goal in the series, while all but two that dressed recorded at least a point.

Stay tuned for schedules and a full preview of Round 2 coming soon!
