Four first-inning runs helped the Bristol Blues (13-15) to an 8-3 win over the Torrington Titans (11-17) at Muzzy Field on Sunday.
The Bristol Blues scored in the first on a two-run double by Frankie Gregoire, an RBI double by Andrew Kendrick, an error, and a groundout by Matt Iantosca.
Gregoire racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Bristol Blues.
Izzy Fuentes improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bristol Blues. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered five hits.
Mike Schettino (1-3) took the loss for the Torrington Titans. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
