Spartans Set to Take On USF in Annual "Pink the Rink" Game
TAMPA, FL.– The University of Tampa men’s hockey team is set to host the University of South Florida this weekend in a two-game series, in the program’s fourth annual Pink the Rink game.
The Matchup: University of Tampa (5-1-0) vs. USF (3-3-0)
Date/Time: Friday, October 15 at 9:45 p.m.
Saturday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. (AWAY)

About the Cause: Tampa Hockey will be playing in their fourth annual Pink the Rink game in support of Breast Cancer awareness. Fans will have free admission to the game and the opportunity to make an optional donation which comes with a raffle ticket with a chance to win a UT hockey jersey. Fans will also have the chance to participate in a Chuck-a-Puck for UT Hockey prizes with all proceeds going to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
Last Games: The Spartans come off a hard-fought weekend against the Florida Atlantic University Owls and the University of Miami Hurricanes, where they beat the Owls by a score of 8-2, and the following day defeating the Hurricanes by a score of 5-4.
About the Spartans: Tampa has a current record of 5-1-0 to begin the 2021/2022 season. The Spartans that lead the team in points: Captain Christian Kukas with 9 points (2 G, 7 A) and Billy Cody with 8 points (5 G, 3 A). Freshman goalie Shea Grant leads the team with three wins in the crease.
About the USF hockey club: USF has a current record of 3-3-0. Their wins have come against the Georgia Tech University, UCF and Embry Riddle University.
Tickets: All UT Home games are free to the public.
Fan Buses: The University of Tampa will be providing free fan buses to UT students that will run to and from campus on Friday October 15, 2021. Buses will depart from the Vaughn Center at 9:00 pm and will operate on a first come, first served basis. Return transportation will occur following the end of the game.
