UVM Sweeps MC and UMaine
Friday, 9/28 vs. Merrimack College
During the first leg of the road trip, UVM traveled to North Andover, MA for a game against a strong Merrimack College team. UVM got off to a fast start, taking a 2-0 lead into first intermission with goals from Joey Konvit and Harrison Naylor. In the second, MC made it 2-1 before Connor van Ryn rifled his first ever UVM goal bardown. MC would make it 3-2 going into the third period, but UVM held on the preserve the win.
Saturday, 9/29 vs. University of Maine
On Saturday afternoon, UVM traveled north to Portland, ME for a matinee against UMaine. Henrik Nilsson got the scoring going for UVM and it was all Catamounts from there. Jack Levinsky buried two second period goals, with Harrison Naylor and Isaac Cioffi adding their own to make it a 5-2 decision in UVM's favor.
Looking Ahead
This coming weekend, UVM will play one of their biggest games of the season against the University of Massachusetts. UMass (1-0-0) comes into this season after qualifying for the 2018 ACHA National Tournament. In their first game of the year, the Minutemen downed Boston University by a score of 7-2.
