Weekend Preview: UVM Takes on SNHU, UConn

Overview

This weekend, the University of Vermont (4-0-0-1) will take on Southern New Hampshire University (0-1-0) and the University of Connecticut (1-1-0-1) in NECHA action. The Catamounts will look to get back to their winning ways after falling 4-3 in overtime to the University of Massachusetts on Sunday, October 7th. 

SNHU Preview

The Penmen kicked off their 2018-19 season at Roger Williams University on Saturday, October 6th. It was a thrilling game down in Fall River, MA which saw SNHU surrender a two-goal lead and drop a 4-3 decision. The Penmen received scoring from A.J. Souza, Zachary Paisley, and Evan Tyros. In goal, Matthew Rubenstein was sensational, turning aside 44/48 RWU shots on goal. After hosting UVM, SNHU will travel to Harvard University for a divisional game at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.

UConn Preview

UVM will be the Huskies' first divisional matchup of the season. Through the first three games of the season, UConn maintains a 1-1-0-1 record with a 6-2 victory over UMaine, a 4-3 loss to Roger Williams, and a 3-2 overtime loss to Boston College. Tyler Maclean and Jake Demers are setting the pace with four points each and Scott Skenyon maintains a .918 S% between the pipes.
