Saturday, 11/3 at Roger Williams

UVM struggled to keep up with RWU's productive powerplay in a penalty-filled affair on Saturday. A defensive miscue led to a Hawks shorthanded goal early in the first, which RWU followed by depositing another goal on the powerplay. A Jack Levinsky one-timer would cut the lead in half as UVM trailed RWU 2-1 after the first period. Roger Williams would break things open in the second, scoring 3 powerplay goals to put the game out of reach. UVM would end up falling 6-2, with Harrison Naylor scoring late in the third. Monty Cunningham kept the game close, turning aside 44/50 RWU shots on goal.

Sunday, 11/4 at Bryant

UVM would bounce back against the Bryant University Bulldogs, defeating the home team 4-3. An early tally by Harrison Naylor made it a 1-0 Catamount lead, but RWU would capitalize on two netfront opportunities to take a one-goal lead into the intermission. A Dan Venezia powerplay goal was followed by a Bryant shorthanded goal in the second. Trailing 3-2, UVM took full advantage of a 5-on-3 powerplay. Jack Levinsky would knock home a rebound to tie things up, and seconds later Colin Lach did the same to score his first collegiate goal and give UVM a 4-3 lead. UVM would kill off a 5-minute major penalty in the third to preserve the victory. Monty Cunningham saved 29/32 shots in the win.

Looking Ahead

UVM's (7-2-1-1) final games before Thanksgiving Break will come in a doubleheader against Clarkson University (2-3-0). Both games will be played on UVM's home ice, Gutterson Fieldhouse.
