UVM Moves to #12 in ACHA D2 Northeast
For the first time since the 2016-17 season, the University of Vermont has entered the ACHA D2 Northeast Region playoff picture. Currently ranked #12, UVM has earned its best ranking since the Catamounts were listed at #9 in December of 2016. The top-12 teams as of the last ranking in February of 2019 will earn invitations to the 2019 ACHA D2 Northeast Regional Tournament hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. Seeds #1 and #2 will receive automatic bids to the National Tournament in Frisco, TX, while seeds #3 through #12 will battle for the remaining two national berths. UVM will have several more opportunities to move up in the rankings. Six of the Cats' eleven remaining games will be against ranked opponents, including #15 UConn on Saturday, Dec. 1st.
