Blue Sox Announce 2023 Opening Weekend Promotions

The long awaited return of the Valley Blue Sox is quickly approaching! With second year Head Coach Pedro Santiago at the helm, the team is ready to get back to work and hit the ground running as the 2023 NECBL season gets underway. The Blue Sox open their season Wednesday June 7 on the road vs. the North Adams Steeplecats, then head back to MacKenzie Stadium for four straight home games. The team is offering a variety of different promotions for the start of the season.
The Blue Sox announced that any fans who attend all four games June 8-11 will receive their choice of either four flex tickets to any of the remaining home games this season, or early access to a new Blue Sox T-shirt before they go on sale. Fans will receive a punch card on Opening Night that will be filled in with different colored stickers at each game until all four are collected after the weekend.
June 8 is Opening Day! At 6:35 P.M the Blue Sox will be taking on one of their division rivals in the Bristol Blues, who won the West Division last season finishing 32-12. The Blue Sox will be giving away a magnet schedule to every fan who attends the game.
The following night on June 9th at 6:35 P.M the Blue Sox will face off against the Ocean State Waves. Friday Night is Isenberg Night, sponsored by UMass’ School of Management. Each fan who attends the game will receive a free T-shirt. Students who present a UMass ID upon entry will earn $3 tickets for the game.
Continuing the home stand, on June 10 at 6:35 P.M the North Shore Navigators are coming to Holyoke. Saturday night’s game will include Dogfish Tasting hosted by Boston Beer Co., and fans will be able to enter a Boston Red Sox/Sam Adams bench raffle.
The Blue Sox will conclude their trip home on Sunday June 11, where they will face the 2022 NECBL Champions the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks at 3:00 P.M. June 11 marks the City of Holyoke’s 150th Anniversary, and the Blue Sox will be celebrating at the game.
Players and fans are excited for NECBL baseball to make its return this week. With a revamped logo and uniforms, as well as many first time players, the Blue Sox will come out in 2023 with an exciting new feel. Pack the Mack and show your support for your 2023 Valley Blue Sox!
