ACHA Central Regionals: MSU-Mankato enters at #12, Set to Play #9 Michigan

12:28 PM CST

The ACHA announced this year's National Championship qualifiers and Regional Tournament participants in a Reveal Show that went live at 11 AM Central today. The WCCHA Tournament and auto-bid winner MSU-Mankato qualified for the Central Regional Tournament as the #12 seed and is currently set to take on #9 Michigan, who is hosting the event, on Friday, Feb. 24 at 8:00 PM in Plymouth, Michigan in the Play-In Round.

#1 Lindenwood University-Belleville and #2 Grand Valley State University earned the two top spots and will go directly to the National Tournament in Columbus, Ohio. For the other game of the play-in round on Friday, Feb. 24, #10 Michigan State University is currently set to play #11 St. Louis University at 5:30 PM. However, there is the possibility that St. Louis could lose out on the trip to Regionals if a non-qualifying team wins this weekend's NCHL Tournament. If that were the case, MSU-Mankato could potentially move up to #11 and would then play Michigan State.
