TEMPE, Ariz. - Cal State Northridge represented the West Coast Hockey Conference at the ACHA Division 2 West Regional Tournament Thursday night as the No. 10 seed but unfortunately fell to No. 11 Montana State 4-2.

The Matadors have qualified for Regionals two out of the last three seasons and were the only California team to qualify for the tournament this season.

CSUN opened the scoring in the first period with a breakaway goal by Geno Norraik. But the Bobcats struck back before the period ran out.

Montana State took the lead in the middle frame but Zach Carnes tied the game at two. The Bobcats got their second lead of the period with just under 7:00 to play.

About three minutes into the third Montana State took the first two goal lead of the game and never looked back.

Congratulations to CSUN on a great season and for representing the WCHC well!
