Following a season where the Wenatchee Wilderness 16UAAA finished 24-17-4 and capped it off with a Super Series Championship, the team is sending seven players to the USA Player Development Regional Camp, set for May 5-8, 2022 in Summerlin area of Las Vegas.

From the Pacific District website: “Throughout the camp players will be faced against other elite players of the Pacific District within their respective age level.  Players will compete in multiple games, participate in both on-ice and off-ice activities while showcasing their talents in hope they will be selected to move forward to the 2022 USA Hockey National Player Development Festival later this summer. The camp staff has high expectations of all participants to put their best foot forward both on and off the ice, with the hopes of one day representing the United States in international competition.”

Wenatchee will be represented by goalie Thomas Cafarelli, defensemen Brayden Pankey, Kael Jackson, and Paco Hodgson, and forwards Jack Muhlfeld, Seth Sween, and Tyler Chapman.

Wilderness Head Coach Kyle Brodie said, “We are very proud of all of our players that were selected to move on to the USA Hockey Pacific District Player Development Camp. They have all put in the work to stand out amongst the best players in the state for their age group, and we wish them luck as they compete against the best in the Pacific District.”
