Hawks Hand Habs an Egg at Home; Tie Series After back to Back Wins
The Exeter Hawks have battled back to even their series with the Lakeshore canadiens with back to back visitors beginning last Friday in Lakeshore and again last night at home.
Exeter handed the Habs a shutout loss winning 2-0 with Morgan Reed earning the shutout stopping 29 Canadiens shots.
After a scoreless first period, Max Bannon lit the lamp on the power play to put the Hawks1-0 after two. Liam Melady would add insurance just 1:04 into the third with an unassisted tally as the Hawks left town taking game three with the their first win of the series , who were up 2-0 in the series
Two nights later the Hawks narrowly defeated the visiting Canadiens 3-2 to tie the series.
Liam Melady and Evan Hayter opened the scoring mid-way through the first period with Exeter leading 2-0 after one period.
Johnathan Frook scored his second of the series in the lone second period tally which would prove to be the winner.
Lakeshore would reply with two third period goals by Brendan Soto and Eric Larue but fell short by a goal in the comeback attempt
Lakeshore dominated this one in terms of shots on goal almost doubling up the Hawks 40-24 with Morgan Reed again keeping this in tow for the Hawks.
The Series now moves to Lakeshore for game 5 this coming Friday night at 8 pm tied at 2 winds a piece as the series now becomes a best of three.
