Western Canada Cup Profile: Steinbach Pistons
A new feature we're rolling out leading up to the 2017 Western Canada Cup presented by Sun Life Financial, as we profile some of the top teams in western Canada. Today, we're profiling the Steinbach Pistons, who sit atop of the MJHL with a 42-7-1 (Win-Loss-Overtime Loss) in 50 games; seven points clear of second place Winkler.
The Pistons have held the pole position in Manitoba for the majority of the season and are ranked fourth in the CJHL Top 20 rankings this week. Fraser Rodgers, Broadcaster for the Penticton Vees & the Western Canada Cup, chatted with Pistons General Manager & Head Coach Paul Dyck recently about their season thus far. Dyck is in a unique position, as he led the Pistons to their first ever WCC appearance in the first ever WCC in Nanaimo in 2013.
