Game Preview - Sept. 10 vs. London Nationals
The LaSalle Vipers welcome in the London Nationals for the 2014-15 home opener Sept. 10 at the Vollmer Centre.
Season ticket holders who have not yet picked up their ticket packages can do so at tonight's game at our season ticket desk next to the Vipers merchandise kiosk. For more information on season tickets, call 519-251-5190.
The game will be preceded - rain or shine - by a tailgate party featuring super star recording artist Crystal Gage, as well as free food and refreshments from Zerhs Markets in LaSalle, and other entertainment and giveaways.
The Vipers and Nats battled to a 3-3-0 regular season record last season, with the Vipers winning the last contest, the 2013-14 regular season finale, 6-4 at the Vollmer Centre.
The Nationals roster will once again feature Anthony Kotsovos, a 2012 Windsor Spitfires draft pick who played eight games with the club a year ago, as well veteran forwards Derek Todosichuk, Kyle Robinson and Drew Worrad. Justin Tugwell returns between the pipes, along with newcomer Logan Ferrington.
The Vipers, who have been building around a young nucleus of players all summer primarily from the Windsor-Essex region, feature several players from the 2013-14 Windsor Jr. Spitfires AAA squad that went to the ALLIANCE finals. In goal, Paolo Battisti returns, as do forwards Daniel Beaudoin, Nathan Savage and Rio Anzolin. On the blue line, the Vipers welcome back captain Brett Langlois, alternate Nate Veres and veteran Nicolas Crescenzi.
Game time is 7 pm.
