Vipers double up Corvairs in Game 1 of Sutherland Cup Final
The LaSalle Vipers defeated the Caledonia Corvairs 4-2 in Game 1 of the Sutherland Cup Final Wednesday night.
The Vipers struck early, scoring twice before the game was barely 8 minutes old. Daniel Beaudoin opened the scoring at 4:58 of the contest, and Brendan Harrogate followed him up just over three minutes later.
Erick Delaurentis drew Caledonia back to within one in the second period, but Eric Kirby restored the two goal lead in the third.
Korey Morgan hit an empty net to give the Vipers the 4-2 win.
Game 2 is Friday night in LaSalle. Game time is 7 pm.
